In individual therapy, you will collaborate with your therapist to restore your whole person—mind, body, and soul. Together, we’ll ground your being, plant seeds of truth and reality in your mind, remove unwanted parts impeding growth, invite compassion into your body, and root your heart and soul in hope, so you can emerge, grow, and flourish.

Question and Answer
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where you work with a licensed therapist to better understand your thoughts and work on emotional healing, relational repair, nervous system regulation, and meaningful behavioral change.
Unlike psychiatry, psychotherapy does not involve prescribing medication. If medication support becomes part of your care plan, I can collaborate with your primary care physician or refer you to a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.

What is the difference between an LPC and an LMFT?
Both are licensed mental health professionals in Georgia.
A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is trained to support individuals with emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializes in relationships, family systems, and relational dynamics.
Because I am licensed as both, our work can address personal healing and relational growth — often at the same time.

How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy varies. Some clients engage in short-term work (6-20 sessions, 2-5 months) focused on a specific goal or current problem. Others choose longer-term therapy (several months to years) for deeper exploration and relational and identity restoration.
We regularly revisit goals and adjust collaboratively.
